Shuffle Masters teams and bracket announced

The teams and bracket for the inaugural Shuffle Masters Counter-Strike 2 tournament have been confirmed, and a UK esports organisation will be taking part.

Verdant are one of 16 teams invited to compete in the $10,000 tournament, which gets underway on July 15th 2024 and runs until July 20th.

Verdant are the only team with UK and Ireland players in the Shuffle Masters, with their roster including arTisT (Ireland), Griafffe (UK), Extinct (Ireland), Vacancy (UK) and Diviiii (France), plus coach BisCu (Ireland).

Verdant will face off against Revenant in their opening match.

Fellow UK organisation Into the Breach (who recently secured investment from Shuffle.com) will not be taking part, but have helped to organise the tournament, according to HLTV.

The tournament will be broadcast on the Into the Breach Twitch channel and will feature a best-of-three single elimination format.

Verdant founder Sam ‘Sami’ Cunningham said: “It’s kind of mad seeing our logo next to the likes of TSM, NiP and Copenhagen Wolves. Gotta keep pushing hard as an org to have more moments like this!”

Casters in the tournament will include UK talent Big D and Hegemoonia, plus Russian caster watchfulTV and Portuguese caster Dorukrcavera.
