Meghan Markle Still Affected by Email Allegations in Post-Royal Life

Meghan Markle exited her royal life four years ago, but the effects still linger. The palace’s bullying claims, which included sensitivities by staffers over 5 a.m. emails, are apparently haunting the Duchess of Sussex to this day, and it has impacted her interactions with current employees.

The Hollywood Reporter published what is being described by the Daily Mail as a “hit piece” because it claimed that “everyone’s terrified” of her. “She’s absolutely relentless,” one source alleged. “She marches around like a dictator in high heels, fuming and barking orders. I’ve watched her reduce grown men to tears.” There’s never any concrete evidence other than Meghan and Prince Harry’s revolving staff, and the finals results of the 2022 palace investigation into her bullying allegations were never released.

Now, an Archewell insider is telling GB News that The Hollywood Reporter article is nothing but a “calculated smear campaign.” They dismissed her reported “Duchess Difficult” nickname and noted, “These quotes were fabricated by someone lacking knowledge of our company. The duke and duchess work from Montecito, and we’re based in Hollywood. They likely think we’re all in the same office and that this quote would fly, but the circumstances don’t even allow for it.”

Describing the claims as “nonsense,” a second insider also shrugged off the 5 a.m. emails and pointed out that Meghan makes sure that everyone knows she has no expectations of a response at that hour. “Who hasn’t sent an email when they can’t sleep or are awake early? I’ve never once ever gotten an email from either of them at that hour – and even if I did, the duchess specifically notes in her email signature that everyone has a different working day, and to not feel obligated to respond outside of normal business hours,” the source said.

GB News even went as far as to confirm the exact phrasing the Duchess of Sussex reportedly has in her email signature: “My working day may not be your working day. Please do not feel obliged to reply to this email outside your normal working hours.” It seems that Meghan might have a bit of PTSD from working at the palace — and we don’t blame her. The only insight royal fans have from the bullying report is a claim from E! News in June 2022 that she and Harry were “disappointed” that the results were not publicly available. If the royal family had revealed the investigation conclusions, this whole issue could have been put to rest years ago.
