Princess Eugenie has been praised for ‘getting on with it’ as she reveals she made a secret visit to a charity last Monday.
Princess Eugenie has said she’s ‘grateful’ to have made a secret stop at the Salvation Army last week to meet with survivors of modern slavery – and royal fans have praised her for her dedication to her work.
The 34-year-old, who is the co-founder of the Anti-Slavery Collective, donned a low key outfit in a khaki bomber jacket and black leggings as she visited the Salvation Army’s headquarters in south London on Monday, September 30.
Recounting her visit on Instagram, the Princess said: ‘Listening to survivors, and hearing their stories makes this work seem as urgent and important as ever.
‘It also reminds me why Jules and I started The Anti-Slavery Collective in the first place.’
Alongside Julia de Boinville, Eugenie founded the Anti-Slavery Collective in 2017 with the mission ‘to eradicate modern slavery for an estimated 50 million people’.

The Collective works with policy makers, companies and survivors ‘to collaboratively develop solutions to fight modern day slavery and human trafficking’ through its three pillars: raising awareness, education and responsible business.
During last Monday’s visit, Eugenie was joined by Hewlett Packard’s Chief Legal and Operating Officer John Schultz who is a board member of the Anti-Slavery Collective.
Eugenie continued in her Instagram post: ‘The Salvation Army do incredible work supporting survivors of modern slavery and human trafficking.
‘They provide specialist support to protect and care for all adult survivors of modern slavery in England and Wales through a government contract which was first awarded in 2011.’
In the comments, a keen royal watcher penned: ‘The Salvation Army is amazing and so are you.’
Another said: ‘She gets on with it without making it all about her. Well done.’
It is no surprise that Princess Eugenie, who has been an ambassador for the Blue Marine Foundation since 2021, is eco-conscious when it comes to fashion choices.
It seems the daughter of the Duke and Duchess of York has worn the khaki jacket on display at the Salvation Army before, namely during the Invictus Games in September 2014.
Eugenie attended the closing concert in the military-style jacket to support her cousin Prince Harry over ten years ago.

Princess Eugenie is no stranger to the Salvation Army, having publicly supported the charity since 2020 and visiting their various safe houses in 2020, 2021 and 2022.
‘I was so grateful to be invited back again to the Salvation Army HQ last Monday,’ she said today on Instagram.
The royal has always engaged with survivors of modern slavery in more informal settings. So far, she has taken part in art classes as well as singing sessions.
Last week’s visit comes after Princess Eugenie congratulated her sister Princess Beatrice after news of her pregnancy was announced.
The late Queen’s granddaughter, 36, and husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, 40, who already share daughter Sienna, three, are preparing to welcome a new addition to their family in 2025.
Using her affectionate nickname for her older sister, Eugenie wrote on her Instagram account: ‘Congratulations Beabea.
‘So looking forward to more on this journey of motherhood together. And adding another little one to the gang.’
Posting a sweet selection of family pictures, she added: ‘I couldn’t find a single group shot of us. So this one from Christmas 2022 will have to do. Xxxx.’
