Prince Andrew pressured to reveal financier who helped him avoid Royal Lodge eviction

Prince Andrew is facing mounting pressure to reveal the mystery financier that has allowed him to avoid eviction from the Royal Lodge.

The disgraced Duke of York, 64, was poised to leave the sprawling property on the grounds of Windsor Castle after King Charles refused to continue financially carrying his brother’s weight.

However, on Friday, it sensationally emerged that Andrew had found a financial backer at the eleventh hour — allowing him to remain at the royal digs.

Andrew refuses to reveal the source of his newfound funding — despite constant calls from the UK government, politicians, and royal commentators.

A string of Labour Party members have since demanded the disgraced duke cough up the identity of his new financial backers.

“Full disclosure of these funding arrangements is vital to uphold the reputation of the Royal Family,” Alex Sobel, a member of Parliament, told the Daily Mail.

Meanwhile, member of Parliament Rachael Maskell also told the outlet, “When the funding for the Royal Family is due to rise by £45 million next year to a staggering £132 million, serious questions need to be asked as to why the monarch’s brother continues to reside at his mansion.”

“There must be greater transparency on the source of the money that has allowed Andrew to stay at Royal Lodge,” she added.

Andrew has resided at the sprawling property since 2004. He currently lives there with his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson.

Exactly where the Duke of York got the funding to remain at the property is still unclear — his only known steady income source is a Royal Navy pension.

It has been reported that Michael Stevens, the Keeper of the Privy Purse, approved Andrew’s financing, prompting mass speculation about where the money had come from.

The Post has reached out to Buckingham Palace for comment.

Andrew — a royal pariah since he was linked to disgraced late financier Jeffrey Epstein — has been living off a hefty allowance from the king’s personal wealth since 2019.

His hefty list of expenses includes $4 million worth of personal security per year, as well as a regular cash allowance — both of which last month Charles said he wasn’t willing to cover anymore.

After cutting off his brother’s financial lifeline, Andrew was ordered out of the 31-room property into the smaller Frogmore Cottage — but he refused.

The disgraced royal has been ignoring his brother’s persistent requests to downsize for over a year.

Instead, Andrew reportedly hopes to wait it out and leave the residence to Princess Beatrice and her sister, Princess Eugenie, as an inheritance.
