A car was broken into while it was parked on Aesop Drive at Bilbie Green in Keynsham during the night of Monday 25th November.

An untidy search of the vehicle was made and a purse was stolen and some drinks were taken from the boot.

The offender tried to use one of the stolen bank cards but fortunately it was declined.

The crime reference number is 5224311321.

Police say: “We want to remind drivers to remove all valuables from their vehicles, especially wallets and purses.

“As contactless payment is now the norm in many venues, you could be hundreds of pounds out of pocket before you notice the cards are missing.”

Meanwhile thieves stole tools from a van that may have been accidentally left unlocked while it was parked at Old Vicarage Green in Keynsham during the night of Tuesday 19th November.

The reference number for this crime is 5224305718.
