Two arrested after Kent Police raid finds 2,000 cannabis plants at Lydd industrial unit

A cannabis factory in Kent has been uncovered by police and two arrests have been made. Officers swooped on an industrial unit in Lydd.

They discovered more than 2,000 cannabis plants and a large quantity of the buds which had been harvested. There was also cultivation equipment, fans and lighting.

Kent Police had carried out a warrant at the industrial building in Dengemarsh Road on Wednesday morning (December 18). It was part of its work to disrupt suspected organised crime in the Folkestone and Hythe district.

The force had received a report regarding suspected criminal activity taking place at the site. Two arrests were made as part of the investigation.
