River Island fans are eager to snatch up a chic denim shirt dress that has gained plenty of praise on social media. The Blue Denim Shirt Collar Mini Dress, priced at £38, is currently trending on River Island’s website and it’s garnering attention on TikTok, thanks to a trendy shopper’s try-on video.
Shared by TikTok creator @Abibabex, the fashion fan spotlighted the item in a video that’s been viewed over 20,000 times. “Come to River Island Fitting Room with me,” she told her followers. In her fitting room video, the TikToker not only showed off the sought-after denim dress but also tried on different outfits.
Her looks included a blue jeans and cropped coat combo, a co-ord set, and the denim dress paired with a grey jumper. With or without the grey jumper, the denim dress looked flattering and stylish. The structured collar, pockets and dark denim looked sophisticated, while the relaxed fit added a cosy feel.
It could look great in tights, boots, and a winter jacket. Or you could save it for when spring arrives, when it could go with almost anything and look ‘lovely’ for the warmer weather.
Not only would the shirt dress be easy to dress up or down, but it looks like it would suit lots of shoppers, who could accessorise as they see fit to add their own personal style to the popular dress. Social media users certainly loved the look.
Viewers praised all of the outfits, commenting “everything” and “you suit all of them”, and the shirt dress proved to be a favourite, as the Mirror reports. Expressing her excitement, @Abibabex said: “No stop because this @RiverIsland denim smock dress is making me so excited.”

Even with the little UGG. it’s such a vibe.” The dress is available on River Island’s website in sizes six to 22. However, some sizes are currently out of stock, so buyers will need to act fast.
According to the product details, the dress can be machine washed but only up to 30C and on a gentle cycle, which may disrupt your laundry routine. It also should not be tumble dried or dry cleaned, meaning you’ll have to make space to lay it flat somewhere to dry.
