All the moments Mia Tindall proved to be a favourite royal: From her sweet relationship with Kate Middleton to playful escapades with Prince Louis as she turns 11

She may only be turning 11 years old, but Mia Tindall has swiftly secured a spot as a favourite royal with her sweet escapades.

The eldest daughter of Zara and Mike Tindall, Mia weighed 7lb 12oz when she was born on January 17, 2014 and the tiny bundle of joy has gone on to delight onlookers with her cheeky and playful personality.

Taking up her mother’s passion for horses, Mia enthusiastically cheered on the racing at Cheltenham earlier this month – showing her boundless energy and sense of fun.

She also charmed crowds of well wishers when she joined Prince William, Princess Kate and their children during the Christmas walkabout at Sandringham in 2023.

Princess Anne’s granddaughter has often proved she is just like her father, former England rugby player Mike and has even expressed an interest in the sport. She has also shared memorable moments with Princes William and Harry over the years.

The family’s attendance to various horse competitions and trials has created plenty of chances for Mia to take centre stage.

From the time the young royal enjoyed herself at the late Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Pageant to when Zara had to intercept one-year-old Mia’s playful antics at the Festival of British Eventing in 2015.

Read on below as MailOnline looks back at all 11 years of loveable Mia’s adventures.

One of Mia’s most recent loveable antics was during a day out with her family at Cheltenham Racecourse on January 1.

She could be seen cheering energetically with her arms in the air, alongside her younger siblings, Lena and Lucas.

Mia seems to share a particularly close relationship with her royal cousins too and is often seen sharing sweet moments with them.

She stole the show at Sandringham in 2023 when she joined William, Kate and their children as they walked to church for the Christmas day service.

Nine-years-old at the time, she sweetly held Louis’s hand and both smiled as they walked along while Mike and Zara were further behind with their second daughter, Lena.

After the service, Mia smiled broadly as she took a bouquet of roses from Kate who was greeting crowds.

She shared another adorable moment with her cousins at Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee pageant when she sitting behind Louis.

Mia enthusiastically danced and sang along to ABBA with Savannah and Isla Phillips (daughters of her uncle, Zara’s brother Peter Phillips) while Louis and Charlotte sat in front of them.

Zara and Mike’s eldest daughter also appears to enjoy playful rough and tumble and has been seen many times having fun with her mother’s cousins, Princes William and Harry.

Back in 2016, Harry was seen playing with Mia, who was just two years old at the time, while her mother held her at a charity polo match in Tetbury.

The following year, Mia was seen running towards William who was in his polo gear ready for a charity match at Beaufort Polo Club. The prince embraced the toddler while Zara and Mike looked on.

She seems to have a similar playful and loveable relationship with Princess Anne’s husband, Sir Timothy Laurence.

He was seen picking the youngster up by her ankles and dangling her upside down while smiling at the Badminton Horse Trials in 2016.

Over the years, Mia has shared plenty of lively and fun moments with her father, Mike.

When she was younger, she was seen being carried on his shoulders multiple times including in 2016 at Gatcombe Horse Trials when the two-year-old tot yawned as Mike carried her around.

Later that year and feeling more awake and energetic, Mia covered her father’s eyes and smiled while he walked around with her sat on his shoulders at the Festival of British Eventing.

Mia also seems to share Mike’s interest in rugby as in 2022, he told Hello! magazine how ‘she loves’ the sport and was ‘excited that she can begin contact rugby next year’.

She wasn’t always a big rugby fan however, as Mike previously said his daughter was part of a team but often insisted she ‘didn’t like’ the sport before playing.

The former rugby union international also played outside centre for Bath and Gloucester. He won 75 caps for England between 2000 and 2011.

Meanwhile Mike’s fellow The Good, The Bad & The Rugby podcast presenter James Haskall went on to hint at Mia’s playful character.

He said: ‘I’d love my daughter to be like Mia, a perfect blend of fun and laughter with a bit of character about her.’

Even when she was a toddler, Mia’s fun personality shone through and in 2015, Zara had her hands full during the Festival of British Eventing.

Only a one-year-old at the time, Mia was photographed curiously wandering over to an electric generator as Zara approached her.

A passionate equestrian, Zara had competed in the event two years earlier while pregnant with Mia.
