A fear for welfare incident and reports of a lady who took “drugs with children in the property” were just a few incidents PSCOs responded to last weekend.
PCSOs Chappell, Morley, and Blood, along with PC Hackett, had a busy couple of days responding to a multitude of incidents while working late shifts in Abingdon.
They responded to a fear for welfare for a resident after a report of “milk being left outside a property for days”, as well as visiting a victim of ASB and criminal damage.

They also responded to a report from South Central Ambulance of a lady “having taken drugs with children in the property”.
They attended a report of a stolen van being found on cloned plates, as well as a training session on responding to reports of missing people.
An area search was conducted after reports of young people on the roof in Bury Street and they assisted their ICR colleagues in searching for a vulnerable lady who had gone missing.

They attended Waitrose after a report of a known prolific shoplifter in the store, and elsewhere responded to reports of young people “being a nuisance” in Poundland.
Foot and mobile patrols in areas of concern were also carried out, as well as work on current investigations – including writing statements and liaising with partner agencies – were also part of their weekend duties.
