Cambridgeshire Buffaloes raise more than £2700 for charity

The Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes, Cambridge Province, selected the Royal Papworth Charity as their charity of the year.

They raised £2,767.36 through quizzes and donations from seven lodges in the county.

The charity supports the UK’s leading heart and lung centre, Royal Papworth Hospital.

Roger Kemp, provincial grand primo for 2024, said: “The Lodges have a special connection to the hospital, as many of our Brothers have been or are patients and grateful for the care and treatment they have received.”

Zoe Noyes, community fundraiser at Royal Papworth Hospital, said: “A huge thank you to the Brothers for choosing us as their Charity of the Year.

“Their kindness helps us to continue to support the hospital in providing the highest standard of care, whilst driving new ways of treating heart and lung disease.”

The charity funds specialist equipment, emergency accommodation for relatives, staff and volunteer training, and research into heart and lung disease.
