Grimes rages at ex Elon Musk for taking their young son to meet Trump in Oval Office

Grimes has called out her ex Elon Musk for taking their four-year-old son X to meet Donald Trump in the Oval Office on Tuesday.

Musk and his son – whose full name is X AE A-XII – took animated photos next to President Trump at the White House while defending extensive cuts across the federal government.

While the billionaire X founder, 53, answered questions from the press, his son pulled faces, picked his nose, clung to his dad’s shoulders, and interrupted him.

Canadian singer Grimes – real name Claire Bouchier – blasted Musk for taking their child into the spotlight after a fan alerted her to their high-profile appearance on X.

“He should not be in public like this,” she wrote wrote. “I did not see this, thank u for alerting me. But I’m glad he was polite. Sigh.”

The 36-year-old shares three children with Musk – son X, daughter Exa Dark Sideræl, three, and son Tau Techno Mechanicus, two.

Grimes revealed in November that she has been in a year-long custody battle with Musk, during which time she allegedly didn’t see one of her kids for five months.

Musk – who dated the singer from 2018 to 2022 – sued for custody of their children in Texas.

Grimes then counter-sued and filed a “petition to establish parental relationship”.

She claimed the Space X CEO was withholding access to their kids and even prevented them from seeing their terminally ill maternal grandmother.

The Texas dispute was later settled, a Travis County Clerk confirmed without giving further details.

Grimes claimed their custody war left her almost “bankrupt” and unable to make new music, writing: “I just slept and cried every minute I wasn’t explicitly fighting for my kids during that year.”

She regularly blasts her ex on social media, and most recently hit out at him for doing a “Nazi salute” at Trump’s inauguration ceremony last month.

Musk sparked global backlash after putting his hand on his chest, before raising his arm out with an open hand to the crowds following a speech at Washington DC’s Capital One Arena.

He made the gesture twice in a move that some likened to a fascist salute used by Adolf Hitler and the Nazis.

Grimes called out her ex’s actions after facing threats of being “cancelled” over his behaviour.

When asked by a fan on X to “clarify” her stance, she wrote: “I’m happy to denounce Nazism – and the far alt right. Would that help clear things up?

“I’ve just gotten out of breakfast and have to catch a flight, and am still debating how to approach things diplomatically because I feel in over my head.”

She added: “It’s absurd that someone can be this cancelled for something their ex did before they even heard it happened.

“I am not him. I will not make a statement every time he does something. I can only send love back into a world that is hurting.”

Musk denied doing a Nazi-style salute after the backlash, writing on X: “Frankly, they need better dirty tricks. The ‘everyone is Hitler’ attack is sooo tired.”
