The coin – which has a pure silver purity of over 90 percent – has been listed on eBay for a massive fee of £8086.72.
The design of the coin features a silhouette of the detective – bearing his famous deerstalker and pipe – surrounded with some of the titles of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s most-famous Holmes stories, such as The Hound of the Baskervilles and A Study in Scarlet.
The reverse design is the typical Queen Elizabeth II face for the time.

The coin was released in 2019 and serves as a celebration of the 160th anniversary of Conan Doyle’s birth.

However, the seller has said that no returns will be accepted.
