A Swindon woman has been jailed for stabbing a teenage boy in the neck at a party.
Drew Stanton-Foreman previously pleaded guilty to inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent and was sentenced at Swindon Crown Court on Monday (17 March).
The 21-year-old, of Redhouse Way, smashed a champagne glass before plunging the sharp stem into a 17-year-old boy’s neck while attending a house party.
As previously reported, the victim told police that the assault was unprovoked. He was taken to hospital for treatment and his injuries were not described as life-threatening.
The incident happened on 4 June 2023, when the defendant was aged 19. The case was going to trial, but she changed her pleas in November 2024.
