Aquaphor has invited UK households to take a small step that makes a big difference: switching to smarter, sustainable hydration in honour of Plastic Free July 2025.
This year’s theme, “Small steps, big difference”, is a timely reminder that individual choices, like carrying a reusable bottle or using a filter jug at home, add up to create lasting impact.
Households which take part report reducing plastic waste by an average of 15KG per year, with the initiative helping cut bottled water use by up to 2.3%.
Nigel Wheeler, Managing Director of Aquaphor UK, added: “At Aquaphor , we believe the path to a more sustainable future starts with everyday choices. Our products are designed to make those choices easier, and our recycling program ensures those efforts don’t end with a filter change. Together, small steps can lead to real impact, and we’re here to support every refill along the way.”
A recent Aquaphor survey revealed that nearly a quarter of the population drinks shop-bought bottled water at home. Whether at home, at work, or on the move, saying goodbye to single-use plastic is easy with Aquaphor’s expanding range of high-performance filtration products, designed for modern life.
Through its partnership with ReFactory, Aquaphor offers a free, simple way to recycle used filters. Cartridges, made from BPA-free, food-grade materials, are repurposed into new household items, even Aquaphor’s own recycling bins. To take part, users simply pack filters in any recyclable box, print a free Royal Mail postage label, and drop them off at the nearest post office.
