A growth in parcel volumes following positive feedback from retailers on its Store Growth Specialist (SGS) scheme has helped PayPoint boost its net revenue by 7.5% to £42.2m in the first quarter of its 2025 financial year. The Collect+ network also increased to 14,250 sites.
PayPoint attributed the results to a three-year agreement with InPost and Yodel to create a network that could support up to 6,000 Pick Up Drop Off locations, as well as the addition of Royal Mail services at around 8,000 sites.
This comes after the company launched an SGS role to support retailers in driving revenue growth through store visits backed by targeted data, which has seen visited stores unlock an additional £1,579 in annual profit.
The team was launched earlier this year and has now grown from three to five specialists covering the UK. Using 11 million data points – including store transactions and shopper demographics – they arrange meetings in store to explain changes that will increase sales.
In July, RN accompanied a PayPoint specialist to stores in Brighton and Tunbridge Wells. The Brighton store, owned by Gihan Salih, had previously been visited by PayPoint to address its high utility bills.

During the visit, the PayPoint SGS sent Salih’s water and energy bills to its affiliated broker, Assured Energy, saving a combined £1,040 annually.
The retailer also received Love2shop gift cards and a new stand which also promotes her existing gift vouchers. Based on PayPoint’s forecast sales at a 10% margin, the Love2shop sales are likely to be worth £128 additional annual profit per year.
The SGS also offered to add Royal Mail parcels to complement Salih’s existing services, worth £650 in annual profit based on 50 parcels per week at 25p commission each. The changes amount to £1,818 in forecast profit – £1,040 through bill savings and £778 through profit on new services.
The SGS offered to add both DHL and eBay parcels to the Tunbridge Wells shop. The retailer rejected DHL over fears the packages could be too big, but accepted eBay – worth an estimated £162.50 extra annual profit based on 12.5 parcels per week at 25p each.
The store also accepted the Love2shop cards and stand for a forecast £290.50 extra annual profit, as well as being urged to start handling International Driving Permit applications, earning £1.80 each time.
With a forecast of 50 per month, the store is set to make £162 per year.
