EcoWorld London wins approval for Griffin Park redevelopment

EcoWorld London has secured planning approval for the redevelopment of Griffin Park, the former Brentford FC stadium, paving the way for 149 homes and extensive public realm improvements.

The scheme, designed in collaboration with HTA Design, will deliver 30 affordable homes available through discounted market sale, alongside 1,770 sq m of public green space. It replaces an earlier consent for 75 private homes, doubling housing delivery and introducing a more diverse mix of tenures to meet local demand.

The project will include landscaped, pedestrianised routes and a central feature celebrating Griffin Park’s footballing legacy. Sustainability measures are also central to the scheme, which targets more than 50% biodiversity net gain and a 60% reduction in carbon emissions through solar panels, low-carbon heating systems and EV charging points.

EcoWorld has already delivered more than 1,000 homes in the borough, as well as the Gtech Community Stadium.
