Missing Oxfordshire man in Royal Mail jacket sparks search

Ian, whose surname has not been disclosed, was last seen today (Thursday, September 11) at around 6.30am in Winfield Drive in Witney.

Thames Valley Police has since launched a manhunt for the 53-year-old, appealing for anybody who knows his whereabouts to get in touch as soon as possible.

A spokesperson for the police’s West Oxfordshire team said: “Ian, aged 53, was last seen at 6.33am on Thursday, September 11 in Winfield Drive, Witney.

“He is known to frequent the Witney area, specifically Deer Park and Ducklington. He also has links to Didcot, and Devon and Cornwall.

“Ian was last seen wearing a bright coloured Royal Mail jacket, and carrying a white carrier bag.

“If you see him, please call 999, quoting the reference 43250465047.”
