Rare teapot made for King Edward VII is set to sell for thousands at auction

A rare teapot made for King Edward VII is expected to fetch up to £8,000 at auction in Bath. Commissioned in 1867 by Princess Alexandra, the Minton-made ‘Round Robin’ teapot features a robin perched among holly leaves. Only two were ever produced. Auctioneer Andrew Stowe called it “an incredible piece of history” with royal provenance. The teapot goes under the hammer at Auctioneum’s Fine Art & Antiques sale on 24 November.
