The Wantage & Grove Scout Christmas Post returns this December, keeping the price at just 40p per card. The volunteer-run service has served the area for 34 years and raises funds for local Scouting.

- Post boxes open: 10am, Sat 29 November
- Post boxes close: 5pm, Fri 19 December
- Deliveries by hand: Sun 14 – Wed 24 December (Christmas Eve)
All proceeds support Wantage & Grove Scout Groups (registered charities 300516 and 277162).

How it works
Write your cards as usual (full name, house number, street and postcode). Place each card plus the 40p payment into one of the Scout post boxes listed below. Scouts and Explorer Scouts will deliver by hand across Wantage, Grove and nearby villages. The service is local; cards outside the delivery area should go via Royal Mail.
The Scouts thank all the local businesses that host the post boxes each year.

Why it matters
Every card helps fund activities for Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers. In a recent year the scheme handled around 6,500 cards, raising over £1,900 for local Scouting — money that goes straight back into camps, badges and skills for young people.
