The London Christmas lights you can see in winter 2025

Hyde Park turns into a Winter Wonderland, with shop window displays attracting hundreds and dozens of impressive Christmas light displays that light up the night sky.

From Oxford Street’s stars and the Angels around St James, central London is home to many iconic displays, all wowing crowds of festive fans.

Many of the unmissable Christmas light displays are actually near each other, offering a day or night of wandering around to catch a glimpse of each of them.

To help you out and to make sure you don’t miss any of the magical lights, we’ve rounded up all of the central London displays to help you have the perfect Christmas.

All of central London’s Christmas lights display

Oxford Street

From November 3, Oxford Street will be lit up by 5,000 stars made of 300,000 LED bulbs.

The lights are in partnership with Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity (GOSH Charity) to raise money for ill children.

St James and Piccadilly

Regent Street, St James’s Market, Piccadilly and Jermyn Street will have their angles display from November 6.

Along the streets, 30 angles will light up to mark the festive season, while at St James’s Market, a Wishing Tree will raise money for The Felix Project.

Carnaby Street

Carnaby Street will have its ‘All is Bright’ light display to bring “the joy and optimism of the season while reflecting the creativity and vibrancy that make Soho unique”.

Covent Garden

Covent Garden will be filled with 300,00 lights around the Piazza, Seven Dials, Neal’s Yard and surrounding streets.

From November 12, visitors can expect giant bells, ornaments and disco balls throughout the area.

Bond Street

Bond Street’s Christmas display will feature 93,000 LEDs inspired by the crown jewels.

The light bulbs are made of recycled and long-life materials that will reduce energy consumption by 75 per cent.

Chelsea Winter Village

From November 26, Chelsea Winter Village and the Royal Hospital Chelsea will feature a 1.5km festive trail including light sculptures, art, markets, bars, street food and a bandstand.
