Four new routes from Glasgow Airport as easyJet launch summer 2026 flights

easyJet has announced four new routes from Glasgow for summer 2026, with holidaymakers spoiled for choice from popular beach destinations to city breaks.

Seats are now on sale, with flights from Glasgow Airport to Lisbon operating on Wednesdays and Sundays from March 29. Services to Pisa and Sharm El Sheikh will begin on August 1, operating twice weekly on Tuesdays and Saturdays, and Wednesdays and Saturdays. And a new Mediterranean route to Malta will take off from August 4, operating on Tuesdays and Fridays, giving customers the perfect opportunity to explore the sun-soaked island which is known for its crystal-clear waters, historic cities like Valletta, and a vibrant culture.

The airline is also providing more connectivity from Inverness, with a new twice-weekly service to Birmingham. Flights will operate on Mondays and Fridays from March 30, providing customers in the north-east of the Scottish Highlands with a direct connection to one of the UK’s major cities.

The announcement comes after easyJet recently celebrated its 30th birthday at Glasgow Airport, marking the airline’s first ever flight which arrived in Glasgow from London Luton on November 10 1995.

Kevin Doyle, easyJet UK Country Manager, said: “In our 30th year, we’re as committed as ever to making travel easy and affordable for our customers in Scotland – which is where it all began for easyJet when our first ever flight arrived in Glasgow from London Luton on November 10, 1995.

“Since then, we’re proud to have grown our network, spanning 66 destinations across 22 countries, offering even more choice and great value.

“These new routes from Glasgow and Inverness not only provide a fantastic range of destinations and more connectivity for our customers in Scotland, they also play an important role in supporting Scotland’s visitor economy and enhancing direct connectivity for European travellers eager to experience all that Scotland has to offer.

“More than eight million people chose to fly with us to and from Scotland over the past year for our choice, value for money and fantastic service, and we can’t wait to welcome more on board!”

Chris Tibbett, Aero Director at AGS Airports, said: “The addition of these four routes by easyJet is fantastic news for the airport, the city and our passengers. The announcement comes just a matter of weeks after we marked the 30th anniversary of the airline’s first flight to Glasgow and it continues to go from strength-to-strength.

“Enhancing our connectivity with major European cities is a key priority, so it’s particularly pleasing to see Lisbon and Pisa added to the over 40 destinations now served by easyJet from Glasgow. Both Sharm El Sheikh and Malta are two hugely popular destinations, and all four routes will provide passengers with even greater choice.”

Dan Mason, Inverness Airport Manager, added: “Inverness Airport is delighted to welcome easyJet’s new service to Birmingham. This is a route our passengers have consistently told us they wanted to see return, and we’re pleased to see that connectivity restored for the Highlands. Birmingham offers something for everyone, from the Bullring and the Jewellery Quarter to world-class culture, family attractions and major sporting venues. It also provides access to Birmingham Airport’s extensive international network, opening up even more travel options for business and leisure.”
