Multiple residents complained about missing parcels but shocking CCTV footage led to a worker getting the sack
A group of locals noticed they could not find their parcels but a look at security cameras revealed where they had gone.
Shocking CCTV videos caught an Evri a courier seemingly walking off with their packages on security cameras. The residents, in Netherton, Merseyside, received notifications from the company confirming the delivery of their parcels, complete with photos of the packages outside their doors. However, they were left infuriated when they discovered the parcels had vanished by the time they went to retrieve them.
CCTV footage from the residents’ homes showed an Evri courier failing to knock or ring doorbells before placing a parcel at the door, snapping a photo of it, picking the package back up and then strolling away.

Evri has confirmed the courier in the videos has been sacked, stating that it has a “zero-tolerance policy towards behaviour of this kind”.
Sharon Woodford, 44, ordered a pair of bracelets for her daughter and niece, both 13, for Christmas, costing £80. She received a delivery confirmation from Evri on November 17, but says the photo she was sent as proof of delivery showed the parcel in front of a neighbour’s door, reports the Liverpool Echo.
Sharon walked over to the house, only to find the parcel was nowhere to be found. Footage from the neighbour’s security camera showed the courier place the parcel on the doorstep, take a photo of it, then pick it back up and walk away.
She made a formal complaint to Evri and shared details of the incident on a neighbourhood Facebook group. The 44-year-old explained: “The community page lit up with people saying that they have had the same thing happen.”
Sharon continued: “Imagine how many people are missing parcels at Christmas, and a lot of people don’t have a lot of money. Some won’t be able to afford to replace missing presents.”
Chloe Harrison-King, 22, a mum of two kids aged three and one, managed to capture video evidence of the same courier departing with her package after it vanished under comparable circumstances. Chloe was notified that her delivery of clothes had arrived on November 17, yet the parcel was missing.
Security camera recordings from Chloe’s apartment building revealed the same driver hovering outside the entrance before leaving the parcel on the doorstep, taking a photograph, and dashing. Chloe remarked: “I’ve got no faith left in humanity at all.”
Ex-serviceman Derek Wood, 55, said: “Are they called Evri because every parcel is going missing?”. He had purchased a gym flask for delivery through Evri. He reported that upon locating his package, it had been torn apart with the items stolen.
He concluded: “At this time of year, a lot of people will be ordering Christmas presents, and sometimes you haven’t got the time to replace them. Stress levels will be going through the roof.”
A spokesperson for Evri stated: “Every parcel matters to us. We have a zero-tolerance policy towards behaviour of this kind, and the courier will no longer be delivering on behalf of Evri.
“We deliver 900 million parcels each year and the overwhelming majority of our 30,000 couriers are hard-working people who go out of their way to serve their local community and are highly regarded by customers who award them an average star rating of 4.6 out of 5.”
