North Staffordshire post office ‘has closed’

The Post Office has apologised

A North Staffordshire post office has ‘closed’. Customers had complained about the operation of Kidsgrove Post Office after the branch would shut without warning over recent months.

Now the Post Office has confirmed that the branch – on The Avenue, in Kidsgrove – ‘has closed’. It comes as customers have raised concerns that their parcels could be stranded inside the building.

A Post Office spokesman said: “We regret to confirm that Kidsgrove Post Office located on The Avenue has closed. We encourage customers to use our nearby branches and apologise for the inconvenience. Butt Lane Post Office, located on Congleton Road, is located nearby and accessible by public transport. Goldenhill Post Office is also located nearby, is accessible by public transport, and is open long hours seven days a week.”
