MSP Jackie Baillie praised Royal Mail staff in Alexandria

Jackie Baillie, MSP, made her annual visit to the Royal Mail delivery office in Alexandria to meet postal workers and see first-hand the effort that goes into sorting and delivering festive post.

She also took the opportunity to thank staff for their dedication and to wish them well for the season.

Jackie Baillie, who is also the deputy leader of Scottish Labour, said: “I have been coming to visit our hard-working posties annually for many years and I am aware of the effort they put in to ensuring residents receive all their festive post and parcels.

“There can be few more hard-working than those at the Alexandria and Helensburgh sorting offices.

“Christmas is, without doubt, one of the busiest times of year for our committed posties and they continue to make every effort to ensure local residents receive all their cards, correspondence and parcels, irrespective of the weather.

“I would like to extend my gratitude to all those hard-working posties who continue to exceed expectations to ensure thousands of deliveries are made in time for Christmas.”
