Royal Mail issues delay warning over festive deliveries

Royal Mail has issued a warning to customers in 47 UK postcodes, including Dursley, who may experience delays in receiving their post during the busy festive period.

Residents are being cautioned about serious service disruptions which could mean correspondence and packages fail to reach their destinations before Christmas.

Royal Mail stated: “We aim to deliver to all addresses we have mail for, six days a week.

“In a small number of local offices, this may temporarily not be possible due to local issues such as high levels of sick absence, resourcing, or other local factors. We’re sorry for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.”
