Prince Harry has returned to the UK ahead of his long-awaited High Court trial against Associated Newspapers, joining six other high-profile claimants including Sir Elton John, Elizabeth Hurley, and Baroness Lawrence.

The case against the publisher of the Daily Mail and Mail on Sunday and centers on allegations that journalists engaged in phone hacking, “blagging” private information, and other intrusive methods.

Having denied the allegations, Associated Newspapers has previously described the claims made against them as “lurid” and “simply preposterous.”

The trial is set to start on Monday and will last nine weeks. A source close to the duke said he is “confident and ready” for the proceedings and is expected to give evidence on Thursday.

The source told The Telegraph: “Confident and ready are the words I’d use to describe his current state of mind.”
