Costa Coffee stores in Caerphilly, Abergavenny and Monmouth are among nine branches expected to undergo the update in the first half of 2026.
The branches selected for refurbishment are located at Gallagher Retail Park in Caerphilly, 11 High Street in Abergavenny, and 63 Monnow Street in Monmouth.
The move comes as the coffee chain continues to reinforce its long-term support for the high streets of Wales and its local communities.
Once these refurbishments are complete, they will join the coffee shop on New Street, Pwllheli, which was completed earlier this month.
Costa Coffee, founded in London in 1971, is currently present in over 50 countries around the world with more than 2,700 coffee shops in the UK and Ireland alone.
The company says the refurbishments are part of its long-term commitment to the communities it serves and reflect its broader mission to refresh and revitalise high streets in Wales.
The upgrades will include refreshed interiors, upgraded facilities, and improved environments for both patrons and team members.
The refurbishments follow the completion of Costa’s refreshed shop on New Street in Pwllheli earlier this month.
Other stores set for upgrades include branches in Cardiff, Penarth, Haverfordwest, Swansea and Rhyl.
As part of the upgrade, Costa Coffee plans to improve facilities for both customers and staff with refreshed interiors and upgraded amenities.
The Pwllheli Costa Coffee on New Street has already been refurbished.
Costa Coffee said the project reinforces its long-term commitment to high streets in Wales and to the communities it serves.
Beyond its business operations, Costa Coffee also maintains a strong commitment to social responsibility through the Costa Foundation.
Costa Coffee has not yet announced detailed plans or timelines for the individual Gwent locations, but confirmed that all work will be completed by the end of the first half of 2026 in June.
