Last week, The Leader reported on the story of one man who has only been receiving his post ‘once or twice a week’.
That led to Frank Swinnerton, from Garden Village, having a near miss with a ‘crucial’ hospital appointment.
In their response, Royal Mail said: “We know how important letters are, and while the vast majority of mail continues to be delivered on time, there have been short-term pressures affecting parts of this route over the festive period and into this week.
“We’re working to address these issues and improve service reliability for this customer.”
Other residents have since been getting in touch to tell us about their experiences.
One from Brymbo, who wished to remain anonymous claimed they had been in the same position as Mr Swinnerton, only receiving their post ‘a maximum of twice a week’.
Another, also from Brymbo, argued that they thought the ’rounds’ that postmen cover these days have ‘become too big for them to handle in one day’.

Wrexham MP Andrew Ranger said: “I have received several pieces of casework from constituents from different parts of Wrexham in relation to issues with postal deliveries. These deliveries are essential, and this is not acceptable and are causing concern, worry and in some cases the delay of vitally important information.
“I have contacted Royal Mail to ascertain the reasons for these delays and for assurances that my constituents will receive their deliveries without delay.”
Mail should be delivered to addresses six days a week if Royal Mail has it.
In December 2025, they did warn that “local issues” might mean “this may temporarily not be possible” – although Wrexham addresses were not listed as one of the areas to be affected by this.
A month earlier in November, Royal Mail revealed that less than three quarters of first class mail was delivered on time over recent months, as it prepared to overhaul its letter delivery services.
