Loungefly, the wearable-storytelling lifestyle brand from Funko, has announced the appointment of Jessica Kong as General Manager. Kong will join the leadership team at Funko overseeing Loungefly’s global business, including brand strategy, product, partnerships and licensing, and omnichannel growth across retail, direct-to-consumer, and e-commerce.
Loungefly is Funko’s fashion-forward line of apparel and accessories, blending contemporary style and fandom. Known for its collectible mini backpacks, totes, crossbody bags, wallets and more, Loungefly transforms iconic pop culture moments into wearable storytelling, partnering with leading entertainment franchises including K-Pop Demon Hunters, Wicked, Lilo & Stitch, and Pokémon — to deliver thoughtfully designed, high-quality pieces that celebrate fandom with creativity, craftsmanship and flair.
“Jessica’s proven track record of scaling consumer businesses while building emotionally resonant brands makes her a powerful addition to our team,” said Husnal Shah, Chief Product Officer of Loungefly. “She brings operational expertise and cultural intuition that will help us expand Loungefly as a platform for fan storytelling, deepen our connection with fans and unlock new growth opportunities globally.”
“Loungefly has built an incredibly powerful connection with fans by turning culture into products people truly love,” said Jessica Kong. “I’m excited to join the brand at this pivotal moment to strengthen the operating foundation, scale the business thoughtfully, and expand opportunities across new categories, partnerships, and markets while staying true to the creativity and fandom that define Loungefly.”
