The three HMRC letters you must not ignore

Is your letterbox overflowing? An expert has outlined which pieces of mail from HMRC you must not ignore.

Appearing on BBC Morning Live on Tuesday (24 February), cost of living expert Colletta Smith explained how three letters from the government department require action and must not go unopened.

The three letters you must respond to are; Letter IDMS99 – Amount overdue, Letter IDMS99P – Simple assessment and Letter – Possible involvement in tax avoidance.

“If anything arrives along those lines it’s super important to open it and try to face reality and deal with it,” she said.
