Sarah Ferguson’s spending splurges laid bare – including £25,000 in just 1 hour | Royal | News

Sarah Ferguson once received daily champagne deliveries, spent £25,000 in one hour and thought about buying an eye-watering £1.7million villa in the south of France, it has been claimed.

Commentator, Hilary Rose, writes in the Times, Sarah spent “£20,000 renting a villa in the south of France for a summer holiday with her daughters and friends in 1994”. She adds: “In 1994 Ferguson was musing aloud about buying the rental villa for herself, for £1.7 million, even as she was being pursued back home for an unpaid electricity bill.”

While at the villa, where she stayed with her friends and daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, Fergie is said to have received “daily deliveries” of Puligny-Montrachet and Laurent-Perrier champagne.

She also plashed out £25,000 in a single hour at the plush department store Bloomingdale’s on one visit, the Mirror reports.

The latest Epstein file release by the Department of Justice shows Sarah often asked Jeffrey Epstein for financial help.

While she previously claimed that she cut contact with Epstein as soon as he pleaded guilty in 2008 to soliciting prostitution from an underage girl, the files appear to suggest a relationship that ran much deeper, involving not just advice but several outright requests for cash.

Appearing in the Epstein files does not suggest any wrongdoing.

Several UK charities cut links with her after past correspondence with the late convicted sex offender, Jeffrey Epstein, surfaced, and she has lost roles and patronages she once held.
