Two motorcyclists with ‘serious life-changing injuries’ following A47 collision

Officers are appealing for witnesses after three vehicles were involved in a serious collision on the A47 on Saturday morning (March 21).

The collision occurred close to the junction with North Luffenham and the Wireless Hill Industrial Estate at 11.10am. It involved a Harley Davidson motorcycle, a Honda motorcycle and a white Ford Kuga.

A Leicestershire police statement said: “The two riders and two occupants of the car were all taken to hospital. The riders are believed to have sustained serious life-changing injuries.

“The A47 was closed while emergency services dealt with the incident but has since been re-opened.

“Anyone who was driving along the A47 this morning and may have witnessed the collision is asked to get in touch.

“Also, if you have dashcam equipment installed please check the footage and contact us if you captured any part of the incident.”
