Royal Mail opens shop on Stevenage Gridserve EV forecourt

The charging facility, situated just off the junction 7 roundabout of the A1(M), has more than 25 charging bays available 24/7.

The on-site building is open daily from 7am to 9pm daily and features Costa Coffee, Little Fresh Good to Go convenience store, and now a Royal Mail shop.

The opening of a physical Royal Mail shop at an EV forecourt is the first of a kind in the UK. 

Sam Holden, managing director of parcels and ecommerce at PayPoint, said: “Bringing parcel services closer to people was at the heart of this partnership with Royal Mail. 

“As more people switch to electric vehicles, they’re looking for convenient places to charge while getting on with their day.”
