Customers are facing delays across the country.
Royal Mail is experiencing disruptions nationwide and has been providing frequent updates over recent days. The postal service has also revealed which postcodes are being impacted today. The website explains: “We aim to deliver to all addresses we have mail for six days a week. In a small number of local offices, this may temporarily not be possible due to local issues such as high levels of sick absence, resourcing, or other local factors.
“In those cases, we will rotate deliveries to minimise the delay to individual customers. We also provide targeted support to those offices to address their challenges and restore our service to the high standard our customers would normally receive.”
The website confirmed that weekend delivery and collection services are anticipated to operate today, 28 March, with parcel deliveries scheduled for tomorrow, 29 March.
The majority of Customer Service Points remain accessible at weekends for customers needing to retrieve items for which Royal Mail has left a “Something for you” card, reports the Express.

Royal Mail has confirmed that it delivers and collects post on the majority of days throughout the year, including Saturdays. However, collections and deliveries are suspended on public and local holidays.
This means that Good Friday, 3rd April, will see no collections or deliveries, except for TD15.
Easter Monday, 6th April, will also see all deliveries and collections suspended, with normal service resuming on the next working day.
