Springfield post office to offer Simpsons stamp cancellation (The Burlington Free Press)

SPRINGFIELD — The Springfield Post Office will hold a special stamp cancellation on May 7 to celebrate the release of “The Simpsons” stamps. The postal cancellation will be the latest celebration of the town’s first-place finish in national voting for the locally-produced video which best represented the fictional setting for the popular animated TV series.
