City agrees to buy old post office building (The Florence Times-Daily)

By Bernie Delinski, Staff Writer The City Council agreed Monday to purchase the old Tuscumbia Post Office from Harvey Robbins for $129,000. Council members plan to pay for the building through funds from off-shore oil and gas revenue the city receives annually from Alabama. The city has accumulated nearly $400,000 in those funds, City Clerk JoAnn Armstead said.
