FAA investigates FedEx planes’ near-hit in Memphis (The Tennessean)

MEMPHIS — Two FedEx jets got seriously close to each other on takeoff from the Memphis airport last week because of confusion over the planes’ flight numbers, a Federal Aviation Administration spokeswoman said Thursday.
