In an encouraging sign of an economy on the mend, FedEx (NYSE:FDX) today projected its business will hit the year’s peak Dec. 14, when 13 million packages are expected to flow through its networks. The volume would be up about 8 percent over a peak of 12 million handled Dec. 15, 2008.
