Bond set for Chicago man over cigarettes without tax stamps

URBANA – Bond has been set at $15,000 for a Chicago man charged with transporting cigarettes that did not have state tax stamps on them. Lois L. Smith, 52, who listed an address in Chicago, pleaded innocent on Tuesday to felony transportation of unstamped cigarettes and driving a motor vehicle with a revoked license. read more
