The incident happened on the A316 at Sunbury-On-Thames just before 2am today (February 15).
Officers were called to the scene, however, the man was pronounced dead shortly after.
His next of kin have been informed.
No arrests have been made as police enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.
Police are now keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident.
A spokesperson for Surrey Police said: “We are appealing for witnesses following a collision on the A316 at Sunbury-On-Thames this morning.
“Police were called at around 1.56am following reports of a collision between a lorry and a pedestrian.
“Sadly, a man in his 50s died at the scene. His next of kin are aware.
“No arrests have been made at this time, but enquiries are ongoing.
“We are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this incident.
