Aldi’s Ebanana Scrooge & Marcus Radishford – when and where to buy

Kevin the Carrot has become an iconic character since his first appearance in Aldi’s 2016 Christmas advert. This year, Kevin is joined by new characters in Aldi’s 2021 Christmas Advert, inspired by the classic tale of A Christmas Carol. Where can you buy Kevin the Carrot and his new friends?

Aldi premiered their 2021 Christmas advert this week, introducing customers to new characters Ebanana Scrooge and Marcus Radishford.

As soon as they saw the advert, a parody of A Christmas Carol by ‘Charles Chickens’, eager customers wanted to know where they could get their hands on cuddly toys of the stars.

Marcus Radishford is a vegetable tribute to England footballer Marcus Rashford.

Aldi has also placed a limit of two toys per customer, as they are expecting high demand once again.

In 2020, Kevin the Carrot toys sold out within an hour, with opportunists quickly buying up stock and listing the popular toys on ebay with an inflated price tag.

This Christmas, Aldi have partnered with Neighbourly to donate more than 1.8 million meals.

The supermarket says they are also working with Marcus Rashford and Magic Breakfast to fund free breakfasts for schoolchildren across the country.

The best moments of Aldi’s 2021 Christmas Advert ‘A Christmas Carrot’

Eagle-eyed viewers have spotted many visual gags in Aldi’s 2021 Christmas Advert, featuring Ebanana.

Kevin the Carrot returns as the Spirit of Christmas, visiting Ebanana Scrooge to teach him a lesson in being kind.

However, those who watch Aldi’s advert closely will see a forlorn caterpillar cake being led away in handcuffs by two lemons.

This seems to be Aldi’s tongue-in-cheek nod to their legal battle with Marks and Spencer, after M&S brought legal action against them for Aldi’s Cuthbert the Caterpillar looking too similar to their own Colin the Caterpillar.
