Alo Yoga to land in Covent Garden’s Seven Dials

Luxury activewear and lifestyle brand Alo Yoga is set to open a 5,000 sq ft store at 25a Neal Street, on the corner of Earlham Street in Covent Garden’s Seven Dials.

Spanning three floors, the anchor store will spotlight Alo Yoga’s “studio-to-street” ethos, featuring its celebrity-favoured range of womenswear and menswear, designed to be comfortable and contemporary.

Products on offer will include activewear, loungewear, accessories and a selection of wellness products, according to the US-based brand.

The new store will be fitted out in a clean and bright aesthetic with exposed brick accents, designed to reflect Alo Yoga’s Californian heritage and provide a neutral backdrop to spotlight its range of products.

Speaking about its latest signing, Michelle McGrath, Executive Director at London landlord Shaftesbury Capital, said: “The signing of Alo Yoga is the latest in a series of key additions to the neighbourhood, with Shaftesbury Capital introducing 15 new brands to Seven Dials in the last 12 months, and nine retail signings this year alone.

“Attracting Alo Yoga demonstrates our dedication to bolstering the destination’s unique blend of tenants, achieved through establishing innovative anchor locations for a host of international and independent brands.”

Last month saw Cornwall-based surfing brand Finisterre relocate to an upsized flagship store at 7 Earlham Street in Seven Dials, just around the corner from its previous store at 47-49 Neal Street. The new location is its largest UK store to date.

It was also reported in January that Swedish footwear and apparel brand Axel Arigato was preparing to open a 2,500 sq ft flagship store on Earlham Street, adding to its existing London location at 19-23 Broadwick Street in Soho.

Additionally, the signing of Alo Yoga follows the recent announcement that Peak Performance has selected Covent Garden to be the home of its first-ever UK store.

The premium performance clothing brand will open at 49 Long Acre, “marking an exciting milestone in the brand’s global expansion journey”, joining the recently opened flagship store on King Street in Covent Garden from sister brand Arc’teryx.
