An Post has warned of possible delays due to strikes by Royal Mail workers in the UK.
Work stoppages are taking place today and again on 31 August, 8 September and 9 September.
Post and parcel deliveries will not take place on these days, throughout the United Kingdom.
An Post says there will be no changes to its services and it will continue to send and receive post and parcels to and from the UK during this time.
“Customers may experience some delays with post and parcels coming from and delivery within the UK & NI, while the strikes are ongoing,” An Post said in a statement.
“We will continue to work closely with our colleagues in Royal Mail to minimise any customer impact and continue to inform customers of any upcoming changes,” the company said.
Royal Mail said the Communication Workers Union, which represents the strikers, had rejected a pay rise offer worth up to 5.5% after three months of talks.
The union is calling for an increase in wages that is more in line with the soaring cost of living.
