The annual Jason Ginnelly memorial football match will be played on Sunday (July 10) between Holy Trinity and Royal Mail Newark.

Jason Ginnelly, who previously played for Balderton football club and Holy Trinity FC, died in May 2017.

His family and friends have organised fundraising matches in previous years, collecting hundreds of pounds for good causes.

The Jason Ginnelly Memorial Trophy is presented after a previous memorial match.

The chosen charity for this year is Pancreatic Cancer Research.

The match will take place at YMCA Sports Facility, Lord Hawke Way off Bowbridge Road. Kick-off is scheduled for noon.

A barbecue and refreshments will be served after the match, from 2pm, at Holy Trinity Community Centre, Boundary Road, Newark.

A bar, raffle, tea, coffee and cake will also be available.
