Another Iowa Post Office May Close Permanently

MALLARD, Iowa (AP) — The post office in the small northwest Iowa town of Mallard may close permanently because of broken asbestos floor tiles. Residents in the Palo Alto County town of about 270 learned of the possible closing of the 40-year-old building during a meeting Wednesday night.
