Dr Jana Denzel comes to the reality show with experience building a Harley Street cosmetic dentistry practice, which has apparently carried out work for Hollywood A-listers and Grammy winning musicians.
Before entering the business world, he attended Watford Grammar School for Boys as the son of a Royal Mail worker father and a mother who still works at Sainsbury’s.
The cosmetic dentist says growing up in the town and attending the Rickmansworth Road school “shaped who I am today”.
“As the son of refugee parents who came to the UK with nothing, I grew up watching them work tirelessly to provide for our family despite their humble beginnings,” he added.
“Their resilience and determination instilled in me the values of hard work, ambition, and the importance of giving back to the community – values that have been a driving force in my life.
“After years of dedication to my profession, I’ve had the honour of becoming one of the leading dentists in the UK. I’m incredibly proud to have won the award for Best Dentist in the South of the UK in both 2021 and 2024.
“Now, as a candidate on BBC The Apprentice, I’m excited to take the next step in my career and prove that with hard work and a bit of luck, anything is possible.”
He has shared videos on social media showing himself watching the episodes back with cheering family and friends.
They have cause to be optimistic as Dr Jana appeared to perform well in the first episode and, according to Gambling.com, is the early favourite to win the whole series due to his impressive background in business.
The Apprentice will return at 9pm Thursday (February 6) on BBC One, when the contestants will visit Abba Voyage and be tasked with creating a virtual pop star, after the first episode saw them head to Innsbruck to set up and run a package tour.
