Are garden centres open on bank holidays? Dobbies, Haskins and more

Do you have some time off work this bank holiday? If you’re spending it out in the garden, you might be wondering if garden centres are open across the UK.

As with any bank holiday, lots of businesses, supermarkets and other retailers temporarily change their opening times so it’s worth knowing whether your local garden centre is open.

From Dobbies to Haskins, here are the bank holiday opening times for garden centres across the UK.

Are garden centres open on bank holidays?

We have listed the Easter opening times for garden centre chains in the UK but make sure to check your local garden centres’ websites or social media pages to find their specific opening times as they can vary.

Haskins

If you’re visiting Haskins this Easter, you’ll be glad to know it’s open most days of the bank holiday weekend.

On Good Friday (April 18) and Saturday, April 19, Haskins is open from 9am-6pm.

Its garden centres will be closed on Easter Sunday (April 20) but it will reopen on Easter Monday (April 21) from 9am until 6pm.

Dobbies

Dobbies hasn’t announced any new Easter opening times so it’s assumed it will open as usual. Newsquest has contacted Dobbies for confirmation.

It’s normally open 9am-6pm Monday to Saturday and closed on Sundays.

British Garden Centres

If you’re heading to one of British Garden Centres sites this weekend, make sure you don’t go on Easter Sunday and it will be closed.

Over Easter, you can visit the garden centres at their usual opening times, except for Easter Sunday. Check your local store on the website as opening times can vary.

Blue Diamond

Heading to a Blue Diamond garden centre this weekend?

You can head there on Good Friday and Easter Monday with opening hours being 9am-5.30pm.

On Saturday, opening times are usual for your local garden centre but the stores will be closed on Easter Sunday.

Hilliers

Hilliers has more than 20 sites in the south of England and it has informed customers that there will be a “limited Easter Sunday opening restaurant only”.

The other days across the weekend have their usual opening times – check your local times.
