Royal Mail is continuing to operate a service to the village, but confirmed deliveries to some addresses had been disrupted.

The parish council said the hawk could be euthanised following unsuccessful trapping attempts by a falconer.
A Royal Mail spokesperson said: “We can confirm we continue to deliver to the area, however there are a number of addresses where deliveries have been disrupted.”
Residents have begun taking extra precautions to protect themselves with makeshift headwear.

One resident, who wished to anonymous, believed that “chicken was being launched onto the school roof” by one villager still attempting to feed the bird.

“Once trapped, the hawk will be professionally retrained, before being relocated to a new home.”
Residents were again urged not to feed the hawk or attempt to trap it.
Flamstead Village School was contacted for comment.
