Want to send off a quick (totally not forgotten) Easter card for a relative?

Or perhaps you want to spend the Good Friday bank holiday catching up on errands.

Whatever the case, it’s useful to know when things are open over the Easter weekend, so you don’t find yourself staring at a ‘Sorry, we’re closed’ sign.

So, if you’re due a trip to the post office, here’s when you can expect them to be open over Easter.

Are post offices open on Good Friday and Easter Monday?

Unfortunately, most post offices will be closed on Good Friday and Easter Monday this year.

But that doesn’t mean there isn’t a chance yours might be open, as some will still be open on either Friday or Monday – but not both.

Easiest way to check? Find your branch’s opening times by visiting the post office branch finder.

And as always, the post office will be closed on Sundays, including Easter Sunday.

Separately, you should note that Royal Mail does not do post collections or deliveries on UK bank holidays – including Good Friday and Easter Monday.

For anyone wishing to post over the Easter weekend, you should head down to your local branch on Saturday, April 16.
