Easter weekend could bring disruption to postal deliveries and collections.
As this weekend marks the Easter weekend, many people will be enjoying four days off from work. However, it’s worth noting that there may be some changes to the posting schedules.
When it comes to post offices, some branches across the UK will be closed on the bank holidays. However, some will remain open with reduced hours.

For example, instead of closing at the usual time of around 5pm, a branch may close at lunch time on Good Friday due to “Good Friday reduced hours”. It’s worth checking your nearest branch first, which you can do online here.
Changes may also be made to deliveries and collections. This is because Royal Mail operating hours may change to accommodate Good Friday and Easter Monday.
Royal Mail postal deliveries and collection times are slightly different over the Easter weekend and you will need to wait a while longer if you’re waiting for something important to arrive.
The Royal Mail website reads: “We deliver and collect your mail on most days of the year, including Saturdays. However, we don’t usually deliver or collect on public or local holidays. (Please note: Local holidays are subject to change).”
According to the website, there will be no deliveries or collections on Good Friday, March 29. There will also be no collections or deliveries on Easter Monday, which falls on April 1.
Evri has also shared posting information for the Easter weekend. According to their website: “Evri couriers will not be delivering on Easter Sunday 31st March or Easter Monday 1st April.”
It adds: “Many ParcelShops will still be open for consumers to pick up or drop off parcels over the Easter weekend. Evri advises checking opening times of ParcelShops before making a journey.”
Normal services will resume from Tuesday, April 2.
